Milwaukee, Wisconsin has frequently found itself rated as one of the most violent cities in America.

The Milwaukee Police Department has tried to combat this by using a new system called Shot Spotter. Shot Spotter is a system of hidden audio towers around high crime areas in the city. When a gun is fired, the police are able to triangulate where the shot was fired, how many shots were fired and what type of weapon was used. The new system allows officers to respond to gun shots faster than ever before - sometimes as quick as 90 seconds.
